Whatever future RnB stars we look set to produce in the forthcoming years, I strongly believe none shall fill the shoes of the dearly departed Aaliyah. Devoid of the warbling inclinations of many recent RnB heroines, Aaliyah was understated, soulful, and probably the coolest girl to have ever crossed the Atlantic. She inspired Timbaland and Missy Elliot's best work, and putting her romantic dabblings with R Kelly aside- as role model's go, she was definitely up there. Aaliyah, I love you.
