Yes Strut.
Star Slinger does it again. This time he's teamed up with fellow producer Teams to make this summer banger:

Syd Tha Kyd
Yes there's a girl in Odd Future; she's the DJ, sound Engineer, and has made this dopedopedope TUNE:
Swoon
Not sure when I became too cynical to seek solace in acoustic music anymore, but it happened. I stumbled upon J. Irvin Dally today though and am now in a weird nostalgic trance. Turns out he's also a bit of a swoon. I can't find a video of his tune 'Little Ones' but that's my favourite.

Emay
Oh and Emay also deserves individual attention because he's a sick rapper and producer and his flow's incredibly refreshing. You can call it chill-hop if you want, I just think it means hip-hop is getting pretty good again.
Seeing Suge..
Previously mentioned beat boy Star Slinger has another rather exciting project on the go... 'Seeing Suge' sees him join forces with Blackbird, Blackbird and Emay. The result is a chill-wave, meets psychadelic hip hop experience...as perfectly demonstrated by 'Braking' which samples Memory House. Very good boys.
Stolen Dog
At last, new Burial! So good when you can listen to a producer and detect it's them within about milli-second. He's made us wait far too long, but his moody introspection is just as relevant as ever, and both tunes live up to expectation. More please.

Star Slinger
I'm such a sucker for producers with a predilection for RnB. Star Slinger is from Manchester and he makes a hybrid of electronic, hip hop and RnB beat music that completely floats my boat. It's wonky it's choppy and he uses samples incredibly well. So, Star Slinger, good.

Rain
Solange Knowles has teamed up with Twin Shadow and Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor to make this charity single. It's beautifully produced, proving all Grizzly Bear touch is gold.
Debruit
Debruit is playing with a full live band at XOYO this Saturday. A master of samples, Parisian Debruit has found a great level of success in the UK and will be debuting all kinds of new material. If you're going to Fabric on Friday, I think it's definitely worth saving some seratonin for this...

So the sexiest song of 2011 has a sexy video too, ooooo

Nite Jewel
I love Nite Jewel; she makes indie-disco-pop music and has just the right amount of quirky (yes quirky) attitude about her. I've been obsessed with this song for ages, mostly because of the absolutely banging bass guitar in it..and now there's a video. Splendid.

Conversation 16
Two of my favourite things. The National AND Mad Men. THE NATIONAL FOR GLASTO!
The National
Shabazz Palaces
It's not that often exciting new hip hop pops up these days, perhaps that's why everyone's going so mad for Odd Future- that and the fact they're ridiculously good, of course. Shabazz Palaces is a more left-field project from Digable Planet's Ishmael 'Butterfly' Butler, and it's very very good. It's been around for a while, but I think now's the time it deserves some real hype. Hype hype.
FEVER RAYYYYYYY
If Fever Ray have done a song for the new Red Riding Hood film, it means it's going to be the greatest film ever.

Psychologist
Well done Ian, beautiful song, great video- all eyes on Psychologist.
Comes In Waves from psychologist on Vimeo.
Albatross
Wild Beasts are hands down one of the best British bands of our generation. They're multi-instrumentalists, both singers have outrageously good voices, and their lyrical content is both brave and illustrative. Live you can really appreciate their musicianship, their drummer is an absolute badman too. Very excited about this new album, very excited indeded!!!

Oupa
This is Daniel from Yuck's solo project and it's rather beautiful. Oupa means Grandpa in Africans, and it's what he used to call his South African Grandfather. This song is tender and sad, and you get to hear him use his voice in a way Yuck doesn't allow. Enjoy.
Vondelpark
I'm completely obsessed with Vondelpark. The fact they're so enigmatic in their online presence makes them even better. They've signed with R&S, originally a techno and jungle label, who recently released their EP Sauna, and will be releasing Vondelpark's album hopefully later this year. It would be easy to compare parts to The XX, with a love of RnB and an inclination towards electronic music clearly shining through- but I imagine Vondelpark were making these sounds before 'The' had ever been put in front of 'XX'. Buy the sauna EP, it's wonderful.

whachonameis?
Oneman has impeccable taste in music which is why he signed Finnish producer Teeth to his label 502 Recordings. Massive tune, great video too...
So Warm
If you're in London next weekend, it's all about Jacques Greene at Plastic People, get your tickets because it's going to be heavvvvvy. Playing the only London date of his European tour, Mr Greene cannot be missed. Fusing RnB, bass music and future garage the guy is absolutely on fire at the moment, and rightly so. See you there.
Don't flop tho
Having recently re-awoken my love of youtube rap battles- what better way to procrastinate on a Friday afternoon- I stumbled upon this... and it is rather awesome. Nothing will beat The Stig bashing Asher D down to within an inch of his life, but these fellas are rather slick too...

The Fog
Y Niwl are an instrumental surf rock band who live in the mountains. The hours they must get to spend jamming up there, uninterrupted, appear to have paid off- this shit is tight.

Dam Down
After 5 days in Amsterdam, I need lifting. Hard Mix, I look to you...
It would be easy to apply a shit load of sub-genres to this guy's sound; essentially, this is blissed-out music for easy listeners with good taste. And that's the most eloquent thing I can possibly think to say about this today. Thank you.
